Important changes for the NSW RCJA Dance 2009

Junior and Senior Divisions in Dance Performance & Theatre Performance

Each school is limited to a combined total of 3 Junior teams in the Dance event. This includes both Theatre and Performance eg 1 Dance 2 Theatre

This year dance teams will be judged on performance only. The interview will not be included as part of the event i.e. placegetters will be solely judged on their performance.

All Dance teams will need to complete at school a log book and the RCJA Interview Questionnaire. This must be handed in to the Dance Coordinators in the marshalling area before their performance.

  • The RCJA Interview Questionnaire and log book (refer to Robocup Dance rules 14.7 ) may be used to decide winners in the case of a tie. (Judges’ discretion).
  • All dance teams will present their robot/s to the judges before their performance. It is anticipated this will take no more than 1 minute.
  • Depending on numbers two performances maybe offered to teams. This will be decided after the registrations have closed.
  • In the event two performances are offered priority will be given to teams available for both days of the competition. (excluding regional entries). Team availability needs to nominated on registration. Preference for the Friday competition will be given to regional teams.
