Robocup Newbie Workshop- Highly Recommended
This workshop is intended for those who are new to robotics and are either recent participants or thinking of entering the Robocup competition.
The workshop is designed for the attendance of a teacher/mentor and a couple of students and will include a range of “hands on” activities that will get your Lego robots up and running in Robot Dance, Rescue or Soccer.
The workshop is being held at one of the state’s leading robotics schools and is being facilitated by teachers who are experienced in the Robocup competition.
 

 
Participants are encouraged to bring their own robots and laptops along, but will also have access to Lego robots and computers at the school if needed.

How to Win Robocup Workshop - Highly Recommended
 

This workshop is intended for those who want to improve their performance and gain a competitive edge in the Robocup competition. Activities will focus on solving any tricky problems that you and your students are having in their robot design and programming.
The workshop is designed for the attendance of a teacher/mentor and a couple of students and will include a range of “hands on” activities that will get your robots winning trophies in Robot Dance, Rescue or Soccer.

The workshop is being held at one of the state’s leading robotics schools and is being facilitated by teachers and who are experienced in Robocup competition.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own robots and laptops along, but will also have access to Lego robots and computers at the school if needed.

Teacher Workshops - Highly Recommended
Throughout the year Modern Teaching Aids runs robotics workshops for teachers. These workshops are available for new and experienced teachers who are looking at getting started or would like to advance their skills in robotics.

Student Workshops - Limited Places
The CSIRO Lab at Scitech run introductory robotics sessions for school classes. These sessions are held at Scitech are run during the following dates.
Term 2:     Week 1
Term 3:     Weeks 1 and 2

Individual Students - Limited Places
If you are interested in robotics but it is not offered at your school, you can join the Double Helix Club who run robotics based sessions throughout the year. Please contact Belinda Sorrell (WA Double Helix Coordinator)on 9215 0852 to see how you can join.
