The University of Queensland has created an advanced workshop aimed at engaging students in analytical and creative thinking as well as practical problem solving through robotics. This workshop provides an innovative and exciting new challenge for advanced students and helps them to enhance their skills to enter the Robocup Junior Competition. Teachers are most welcome.
Artificial Intelligence | grade 8 to 12 students
- introduction to intelligent robotic systems including programming using NQC or RoboLab
- covers advanced programming concepts such as multi-tasking, task control, event based and conditional behaviours, memory models and multi sensory information
- the full workshop also includes subsumption and limited inter-robot communication
- all robots will be built by the students and a survival of the fittest challenge will be the workshop highlight.
