With the continuing support of one of our major sponsors, we are happy to present the RCJA/Google International Scholarship. This money is generously provided by the Google Diversity Programs Team, focusing on Girls in Science and Technology.
Several scholarships of $2000 are available to teams to travel to Graz, Austria, to represent Australia at the 2009 RoboCup Junior International Competition.
Teams with a minimum of 50% female members are eligible for this scholarship. Teams that do not meet this requirement *may* be eligible for other funding. Please contact Damien Kee (damien@domabotics.com) for more information.
Applications are being sought from interested teams. The deadline for submission is January 19th, with a final decision on successful teams announced on Friday 23rd of January. Each submission will be reviewed by a panel of judges taken from the RCJA National committee and Engineers from Google.
Applications must consist of the following two items.
1. Description of your robots you intend to take. This should include ideas that have yet to be realised as well as photos and videos if possible. This information will be kept in the strictest confidence until after the International competition has been held. We do not expect to see completed and perfect robots, but are more interested in the ideas and the plans you have to realise your ideas.
2. Details of any results team members have achieved in previous RoboCup competitions (National/State/Regional)
All entries become the property of RoboCup Junior Australia and may be used for promotional material after the RCJI competition has been held.
