Welcome to Robocup Junior ACT

Due to the situation with COVID-19, the ACT Committee has had to make the tough call to cancel the 2020 Regional Event, However we have replaced it with the "Remote RoboCup ACT Regionals". We are working on a online based event to keep challenging you and to help prepare all the teams for the 2021 events. Stay tuned to the website and our Facebook page for more info on these challenges. We hope to be able to bring our events back bigger and better than ever in the future when it is safe for us to do so. Almost all the events will require teams to send through a video and their code.

Onstage -   Teams will video their performances and send to Robocup ACT

Rescue Line -   Teams will receive course information over a week and run 2 to 4 different courses  depending on the number of teams (we can help out with tiles etc).  Teams will record their runs and send to Robocup ACT

Rescue Maze – Teams will build their own simple Mazes and make runs through the Maze,  video their runs and send to Robocup

Soccer – This will be a little different as we hoping to send the teams out a basic build for opposition robots, with programs and the team will play games against the robots.( we will be able to help out with extra robots if schools do not have enough) The game videoed and sent to Robocup

Where to start

Well if you are reading this, you are at the right place. This site has information to get you started. You will find information on how to compete in all the events in RoboCup Junior in event webpages. In the Resource Centre you find tips for your robots and constructing equipment. If you would like some 'hands on' help, volunteers will come out to your school and give you a hand. There are also opportunities to attend workshops. These are run on a demand basis so if you are interested please contact us.

You can contact Mr Peter Crane for additional information on (02) 6258 1055 or peter.crane@sfx.act.edu.au or Mr James Riley at james.riley@ed.act.edu.au
