Field Construction

Constructing your own soccer field for home or school is very simple. You can get all of the materials required from your local hardware store. Be sure to read the soccer rules for dimensions and other requirements.

The soccer field doesn’t have to be placed on a raised table – you can roll out the carpet on the floor if you like.For even greater simplicity, you can make the walls and goals out of cardboard if you like.

Some of the materials you might need:

• Green or Grey carpet (grey is much easier to find, click here for a link)
• White tape for the boundary line (click here for a link)
• Black paint for the goal lines
• Permanent marker to mark the centre point and neutral points
• Plywood or cardboard for the walls and goals
• Wood screws
