RoboCup Junior Australia is a national robotics competition for schools. RCJA is a unique event that excites and motivates students. Students participating in RoboCup Junior Australia events may choose Robot Dance, Rescue or Soccer.

Soccer 2011
will see a re-organisation of the leagues. In order to keep in-line with the National Competition Soccer will now have two Leagues.
- NOVICE - LEGO only. Un-Pulsed Ball. Limited sensors. Details to follow.
- OPEN - Will cater for all other Soccer robots within the RCJA Soccer rules.
Update for Dance 2011
The number of teams a school may enter in Robocup Junior Dance has been changed from 3 to 4 in total for 2011(please note the info pack states 3 )
The dance competiton is a 2 day competition and the Junior & Senior finals will be conducted on the Friday. Country teams will be given preference for a Friday time slot.
Dance teams available for both days will be scheduled 2 performances the 2nd performance is not compulsory as the best score will be used to determine the team's place for the final.
Log books are not compulsory but will be used to decide the winners and or place getters in the finals.
All submitted log books will be judged with the best Junior & Senior log books receiving trophies for their schools.
All teams should refer to the dance rules and judging criteria before the competition.
Interviews will not be conducted but trial interviews maybe available for teams competing at the Australian Open in Tasmania this year.
All dance teams will be briefly interviewed by the judges before their first performance.
NSW RCJA will be trialling a new dance floor this year at the Sydney Regional & NSW State competitions
The dance floor will not be supplied by RCJA. The venue floor will be the dance floor which will be a hard surface.Schools can have the option of using the white side of the rescue field which will be available for their use on the day or alternative overlays that have a maximum size of 297.8cm (W) x 311.2 cm (L)
Note: No tape will be allowed to be used on the venue floor
